See film of pilot project in Esch-zur-Alzette, Luxembourg

One of the EU partners in the noPILLS project is the Luxemburgish partner Centre de Recherche Public Henri Tudor. In Esch-sur-Alzette, in the local hospital Centre Hospitalier Emile Mayrisch, a campaign was running to reduce x-ray contrast media in waste water. To achieve that aim the urine of treated patients needs to be collected separately. Residues of x-ray substances mean a challenge for the waste water treatment all over Europe as the treatment techniques we have today are hardly successful for the elimination. Therefore the tests in Luxemburg are designed to involve patients in developing solutions.
